Although I did go to college, I never belonged to a fraternity and I don’t ever recall setting foot inside a frat house. I’d probably heard enough stories back then to know that not accepting an invitation was a good idea. And I did see “Animal House.” But there seems to be an extremely large frat party going on now in DC with far more serious consequences than the standard falling down drunk, throwing up, passing out, or sexually inappropriate behavior of those wacky college days. And it’s adult white men with jobs doing the damage; ransacking the campus buildings of the Government; storming the hallways and throwing people out of windows, or at least threatening them with large pieces of paper saying that they absolutely must leave, or else. It’s been two weeks of mayhem. The frat house mother has been deported. So the guy leading the charge, who is often high on a controlled substance, decided he was the man for the job even though he’s not from here either. Or maybe he made a few flattering remarks, along with a modest financial contribution (relatively speaking), and convinced the other guy, who is supposed to be in charge, to let him have his way. Now he’s having it, along with his frat brothers. Everyone seems happy except, of course, those who got their notice or were just not invited to the party. And the question they’re all asking is, “If we have to have a South African President, why can’t it be Trevor Noah?”

““This weekend, Elon Musk was directed by President Trump to illegally access sensitive government information on private American citizens. He is not an elected official. He is not a cabinet secretary, or even a government official. He has not been confirmed by the Senate. Elon Musk is a private citizen with massive foreign debts, countless conflicts of interest, and unknown personal motivations that disqualify him from serving in the federal government. Still, President Trump has allowed him to illegally raid the United States government, seemingly for his own gain.
